The Educator Academy provides a variety of financial supports to make teacher certification possible, such as bonuses, relocation assistance, and access to federal aid, scholarships, and grants. The Educator Academy is a cost-effective option for earning your bachelor’s degree and teaching certification. Too often, finances keep well-qualified individuals from pursuing education, so we work to make the financial aspects of our teacher training program more reasonable.

Salary as a Full-Time School Employee
TEACH Grant: This is an optional grant managed by the Federal Government that many residents pursue to help cover tuition costs, providing up to $1,526 per year. The requirements for the TEACH grant are separate from and beyond the EA commitment.
Foundation Scholarships: $2,000
Other Financial Aid: We encourage all students seeking financial aid to learn about what federal grants they may be eligible for.

University of Central Missouri Tuition: $2,851.20 (based on 12 credit hours)
Year One of the Residency/Fellowship
After your first year at UCM, you’ll transition into the Residency or Fellowship Pathway. Since you’re still completing your bachelor’s degree, your financial structure will be a bit different from other participants. You’ll be working full-time in a partner school while continuing your coursework, with a mix of tuition, financial aid, and income.

Certification Costs: Residents are responsible for the cost of the certification test. Costs vary depending on the certification content area and the number of testing attempts. Assistance with certification costs may be available.

This includes the cost to take the PRAXIS certification exam, background checks that are required, as well as ordering all official transcripts. The exact costs vary based on the number of transcripts you have, the type of certification you are pursuing, and the number of testing attempts you make. Typically this cost is $150-$300
- What is the TEACH grant?

The TEACH Grant Program is a federal program that provides grants to students who are completing or plan to complete coursework needed to begin a career in teaching and are committed to teaching for at least four years after receiving the grant. This grant can be used toward tuition or student loans. Participants pursuing the Master’s degree would be eligible for this grant. While many participants in the Master’s + Certification track choose to utilize the TEACH grant, this grant program is not facilitated by The Educator Academy.
