Earn a stipend

Because of the value of essential mentor skills, we compensate cooperating teachers with a stipend of $430.

The impact of the cooperating teacher is multi-faceted. As a teacher leader, you are influencing students and your school community. As a cooperating teacher, you have the opportunity to widen that influence by empowering a fellow with effective and responsive teaching practices through modeling instructional practices and facilitating fellow reflection. Cooperating Teacher Requirements

Interested in this opportunity? Check the requirements below to see if this is a good fit for you!

  • 3 year minimum teaching experience; have taught at your host school for +1 year
  • Certified in content area being taught
  • Committed to collaborating with a fellow for entire school year
  • Capacity and willingness to engage in MEES ratings with feedback and support of the fellow’s education and growth
  • Willingness to open their room for observations by the fellow
