Each year, we bring together teachers, school leaders, and education advocates from across Kansas City to reflect, recharge, and build a stronger, more sustainable future for education together.
This year’s theme is Meet the Moment: real opportunities, real growth, right now.
At this year’s Summit, we will focus on the choices educators make when conditions aren’t perfect, and solutions aren’t easy. Together, we’ll celebrate our wins and sit with our challenges, because both teach us something worth carrying forward.
At The Educator Academy, we believe courage is the ally of progress. We hope you’ll join us this year at The Summit, where we will collectively build the courage and skills to meet the moment, reflect, and grow.

What’s new this year?
The Summit is expanding to meet educators at any stage of their careers. Our breakout sessions now include dedicated content for instructional coaches and teacher leaders, focused on practical strategies for leading peers, navigating coaching conversations, and driving collective improvement. Whether you’re new to the classroom or a committed vet, you’ll find keynote stories, panel conversations, and breakout sessions built to meet you exactly where you are.

Start the day off by hearing from local educators who have recently navigated a significant moment of change or opportunity in their schools, teams, or professional lives. More information about the panelists will be shared soon.

The Summit is a yearly conference for educators. Each year, we reflect on the good things happening in education and look ahead to the profession’s future. Through a variety of programming, attendees receive tools, resources, and reflections they can apply in the classroom immediately. We also carve out space for big-picture thinking, where educators can look beyond their current classroom needs and consider what education will look like tomorrow.

The Educator Academy prepares individuals to become certified teachers of record through our residency and fellows pathways.
