On Monday, January 21st, 2019, AmeriCorps members and volunteers across the United States will participate in a day of service. The Educator Academy encourages everyone to honor the life and work of Dr. King through a service project on or around this national holiday commemorating the Civil Rights Movement leader. Our top picks for MLK Day service projects are listed below and more can be found here.

  • Registration 8:15, Service 9am-2pm (lunch provided)

Show Me KC Schools

  • 9am-1pm
  • Canvassing neighborhoods (around the Linwood YMCA) with information about the new common school application – schoolappkc.org

Harvesters

  • Shifts available throughout the day
  • You can also donate $3 in non-perishable food and/or $3 to help fight community hunger
