What It’s Like to Start Teaching With EA
From your first summer to your first classroom placement, everything is designed to help you grow into a confident teacher that students can rely on. When you join The Educator Academy:
- You attend 5 weeks of Summer Institute to learn the foundations of teaching
- In the fall, you’re placed in a Kansas City classroom with a mentor teacher
- You build skills gradually, with feedback and coaching
- You attend a hybrid of in-person and online classes throughout the fall and spring semesters to refine your practice
- You’re part of a supportive community of future teachers
